Welcome to Ampleforth & Hovingham Surgeries

Staff Training Surgery Closure
The Practice is supported by North Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group to provide and facilitate important training and learning events for practice staff to help them keep up to date with relevant information to carry out their job and continue to deliver the services at the Practice.
Dates for upcoming staff training are as follows.
Tuesday 20th April 2021 from 12:30 pm
When the surgery is closed during these events, there will be an Out of Hours Service running which patients can access by ringing 0300 123 0762. In an emergency please call 999 as normal.
The training dates will be displayed in the surgery premises, on the main entrance door, main reception areas and on the Scarborough and Ryedale Clinical Commissioning Group website. Please remember to collect repeat prescriptions outside of these times.
Covid-19 Vaccination Information 8th April 2021
Please click here to read more about the most recent guidance regarding Covid-19 vaccinations and blood clotting.
The COVID vaccination programme here and across North Yorkshire continues to progress at pace and we’re delighted to say that all of our patients in the first nine priority groups, as determined by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI), have been offered a vaccine.
You can choose to access this service (the nearest ‘regional’ site is at Askham Bar, York), or you may prefer to wait to be contacted by the practice for an appointment closer to home. If you choose to decline the offer from the national service and wait for an appointment at one of our GP-led clinics, please be assured, you won’t be missed. We’ll be in touch with you at the appropriate time – you don’t need to call us.
Please continue to use the NHS website here for up to date information about Covid-19, and there is further help for patients who are recovering from Covid-19 here.
